Missouri educators are invited to be an integral part of Interface 2024: Decades of Discovery. This unique platform encourages educators passionate about mathematics and science to share their teaching ideas, creating a collaborative space to network and exchange best practices within the STEM education realm. Join us in exploring the potential of STEM education to reshape the future, one discovery at a time.

The theme for our upcoming conference, "Decades of Discovery," aligns seamlessly with the previous 39 years of Interface conferences. In 2024, we invite you to delve into the rich landscape of STEM education across the K-12 spectrum, complementing our shared goals of improving academic performance and inspiring students to embark on careers in STEM-related fields.

"Decades of Discovery" serves as a backdrop to explore innovative STEM education strategies that go beyond conventional teaching methods. By fostering creativity, collaboration, and communication skills, educators have the power to propel students into a future where they can actively contribute to transforming lives and addressing complex global issues.

For forty years Interface has been a place where educators collaborate to improve mathematics and science instruction for the children of Missouri. Please consider presenting at one of Missouri's premier professional learning events. Feel free to forward this message to other educators that you believe would also be interested in providing high quality presentations.

In the event that your proposal is approved, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) will cover your conference registration fee, which amounts to $350. Please note, however, that any additional costs incurred during your participation, beyond the registration fee, are the responsibility of the presenter. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

New Schedule Format

For the 2024 Interface, there will be a new format. Previously, the format of Interface was essentially two parts, A and B. Each part was scheduled for approximately 2 and a half days. The new format is 5 days of programming. We are excited to include a day that will be K-12 to allow for conversations and thinking across all grades. This structure will provide a great transition as we merge two conferences into one! The first two days are focused on K-6, and the last two days are focused on 6-12 with the third or middle day for K-12 as noted before. Please see the table below for details.

• K-6 focus:  9/27 to 9/29 ($250)
• 6-12 focus: 9/29 to 10/1 ($250)
• K-12 focus: 9/27 to 10/1 ($500)
