Update Personal/Education Info.

If you need to update or make corrections to any of the following records on your educator profile, please follow the directions listed for each type of information:

Name, Social Security Number, or Date of Birth:  

You will be required to complete an Update Personal/Education Information Request Form to make a change.  Please print, complete, and sign a copy of this cover sheet and mail it with one form of supporting documentation.  Acceptable supporting documentation includes the following: copy of driver’s license, Social Security card, marriage certificate, divorce decree, or birth certificate.

You have access to make changes to your personal contact information by logging into your educator profile.  Scroll down to the Contact Information section and click on the “Edit Contact Information” button at the bottom of the section.  Enter the new information and hit the “Save” button.

Add an Advanced Degree or Update Education Records:

You will be required to complete an Update Personal/Education Information Request Form to update the records of your college/university degrees or attendance dates.  Please print, complete, and sign a copy of this cover sheet and mail it with an original transcript verifying the conferral of an advanced degree or updated attendance dates to:

Faxed, scanned, emailed, or photocopied transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts become the property of the department and cannot be returned.  The acceptance of coursework and/or degrees is subject to DESE’s approval of the college/university attended and the major area of study.



To access your certification account (online profile) you must first log into DESE Web Applications with a user ID and password, and then choose the Educator Certification System link located on the User Applications page.  Your certification account (online profile) provides access to each of the following:

  • Apply for a certificate
  • Print out a certificate
  • View a certificate or pending application
  • View assessment scores
  • Check for the receipt of transcripts
  • Check fingerprint/background status


Please Note:  If you have not accessed your certification account in over 12 months, then your account access has been disabled. You will be required to re-register and create a User ID. Please follow these steps:

  • Step 1 - Go to: https://apps.dese.mo.gov/webLogin/login.aspx
  • Step 2 - Click on "Register"
  • Step 3 - Enter the information requested and click "Create User"
  • Step 4 - Once the ID has been created, log in with the new User ID and password
  • Please note that if the "Create User" button is grayed out, try using a different User ID.
