Program Standards & Evaluation

In order to assist Technology Education/Industrial Arts Instructors and other school district leadership in a continual process of program improvement a new assessment tool has been developed by which programs can evaluate the overall effectiveness and/or efficiency of the district's Technology Education program. The assessment process provides information vital to determining the extent to which the district's goals and objectives are being met.

The Missouri Technology Education Program Standards document is provided as an instrument for a self-evaluation of your district's program. The results of this evaluation should be incorporated into a written Evaluation Plan.

The written Evaluation Plan provides a "roadmap" for the improvement of your program. This evaluation tool may also be used to meet MSIP Standard 7.3 which requires an accountability system to assess student progress and program effectiveness for vocational approved programs.
