The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) today submitted to the United States Department of Education (USED) the application required to receive Missouri’s allocation for the ARP ESSER fund, often referred to by DESE as ESSER III. Missouri’s allocation totals $1.96 billion, 90 percent of which will be distributed directly to local education agencies (LEAs) to spend on a wide range of allowable uses to respond to COVID-19.
Five Missouri high school seniors were selected as members of the 57th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars along with 161 students from across the country. The president recognized the outstanding students listed below for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.
