Each fall the Early Intervention team in the Office of Childhood surveys First Steps providers to obtain feedback on overall experiences as well as key early intervention practices around Early Childhood Outcomes (ECO) and quality Individualized Family Service Plan and Early Intervention Team (EIT) practices. Key findings from the 2025 survey include:
- 446 provider responses (17% response rate)
- 48% of providers stay informed about program updates through their EIT meetings (up from 27% in 2024)
- 79% of providers have accessed the First Steps training webpage to find training and/or professional development opportunities (up from 61% in 2024)
- 65% of providers would like more training/resources on the topic of early intervention (up from 33% in 2024)
- 90% of providers agree EIT professional development time reviews resources from the First Steps online modules (up from 68% in 2024)
