The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Office of Childhood is excited to announce applications for the 2025-2026 Innovation Grant to Start-Up a New Child Care Program.

This grant helps new child care providers launch programs in partnership with local businesses or community organizations to meet the growing need for quality child care across Missouri. Eligible applicants can receive up to $625,000 in matching funds to cover start-up expenses such as equipment, minor remodeling, and workforce incentives.

Applications must include:

• A business plan
• A letter of commitment from a partner organization
• Proof of a submitted child care license application

All applications must be submitted by November 30, 2025.
