The State Board of Education (Board) strategic planning committee has worked throughout 2023 to develop an evergreen process for regularly refreshing Missouri’s strategic plan for PK-12 education and to then execute a condensed version of that process for this year. This process will help ensure that the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE’s) strategic plan remains relevant and responsive to the evolving needs and education landscape in Missouri. By conducting regular strategic plan updates, DESE and the Board can adapt to emerging challenges and opportunities effectively.
