Rehabilitation Technology

Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) provides a variety of rehabilitation technology services, assistive devices and equipment to eligible clients.

Assistive devices assist persons with disabilities with increasing, maintaining, or improving functional capabilities and one’s own independence.  Devices may be as simple as a modified door handle or as sophisticated as a voice-controlled computer system.  Other types of assistive devices include prosthetic and orthotic equipment; hearing aids; wheelchairs; and vehicle and home modifications.

Rehabilitation technology services can include evaluation, design, adaptation or technical training that assists persons with disabilities in the use of assistive technology devices.
