Statewide Meetings Planned to Gather Feedback on Missouri Education

Aug 22, 2016

What matters most to you about public education in Missouri? The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will hold a series of public meetings around the state to give educators and the public an opportunity to provide feedback on Missouri’s priorities for education. The department will use the feedback as it develops a vision for the future of Missouri public schools.

The meetings are scheduled for early September through early October. Each of the meetings in the nine regions will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will include a short presentation, small group discussion and a wrap-up with additional ways participants can become involved in the future. Online surveys will also be available for those Missourians who want to provide comment but cannot attend the regional meetings.

The department is committed to developing education strategies that incorporate public feedback, are supported by the people of our state, and that ultimately lead to student success. A primary goal of Missouri’s Top 10 by 20 initiative is ensuring that all Missouri students graduate college and career ready with the skills they need to succeed in life.
