The Attorney General’s office, on behalf of the Department, filed an appeal on Judge Michael Burton’s ruling in the Massey v. Normandy Schools case to preserve the right to appeal. The appeal gives the State Board of Education time to discuss the Department’s recommendation on Normandy’s accreditation classification. At next week’s board meeting, the Department plans to recommend that the board classify the Normandy Schools Collaborative as unaccredited and that the Joint Executive Governing Board remain in place.
