Six public hearings on vocational rehabilitation services have been scheduled throughout the state in March. The hearings will be conducted by Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation (MVR) to gain feedback on ways to improve services for individuals with disabilities. Officials will gather input regarding MVR’s goals and priorities found in the current state plan.

Potential topics discussed will include:

  • Increasing competitive, integrated employment opportunities for persons with disabilities;
  • Improving employment services and opportunities for youth and students with disabilities;
  • Assessing and meeting employers’ needs in employing persons with disabilities; and
  • Increasing the cooperation, collaboration and coordination of community resources to improve quality employment outcomes for persons with disabilities
