Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) is a statewide quality initiative that provides evidence based, multi-tiered systems of support and consultation to child care professionals caring for young children with challenging behavior.

Who is eligible for IECMH services?

Child care professionals in licensed, registered, or regulated programs.

Referrals can be made by early care and educational professionals, directors/administrators, parent/guardians, and state and local agencies.

What services are provided?

IECMH Specialists support the child care professionals by providing:  

  • Social Emotional Trainings
  • Ongoing coaching and mentorship
  • Access to supports, resources, and referrals
  • Individualized intensive interventions for children with persistent challenging behaviors in collaboration with their families and child care professionals
