Annual Performance Reports for Educator Preparation Programs Now Available

Feb 19, 2019

Results from the latest Annual Performance Reports for Educator Preparation Programs (APR-EPPs) have been released to provide information about the programs to the public, particularly parents and students. The APR-EPPs are based on the latest five years of data from educator preparation programs at Missouri colleges and universities.

This year’s teacher APR-EPP has changed from last year. The new report is based on all nine Missouri Teaching Standards. Because of the change in calculation, no accreditation levels have been awarded for teacher preparation programs this year.

The public can view the reports by certification area. Programs that have had fewer than 10 students over a five-year period are not reported.

The APR-EPPs support continuous improvement through a collaborative effort between the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and educator preparation programs. The programs provide the supporting data for the APR-EPPs. DESE surveys first-year teachers and their supervisors.

Preparing, developing and supporting educators is one of Missouri’s Show-Me-Success strategic priorities to ensure an effective teacher in every classroom and an effective leader in every school.
