Addressing child care barriers in Missouri - Reimagining Child Care

In 2021, the Office of Childhood (OOC) formed a new workgroup to address child care barriers in Missouri. This work includes providing more stakeholder engagement opportunities, identifying child care challenges and potential solutions, and revising internal procedures and child care rules. The team members that make up this workgroup include: state leaders, state child care licensing staff, child care providers, parents, and other stakeholders, as identified.

For more information about the work this group has completed, and aims to accomplish, see the drop down options below:

Stakeholder Engagement

The Child Care Compliance and Regulation sections will continue to solicit stakeholder feedback as part of the Reimagining Child Care workgroup. We may do this through surveys in the field via compliance inspection staff, virtual stakeholder meetings, focus groups, or in-person meetings. If you would like to receive updates about the workgroup via email, please join the Early Connections mailing list by signing up on the Early Connections website
