George Washington Carver Award

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education invites public school officials to honor Missouri’s outstanding high school seniors by presenting them with the George Washington Carver Award. This recognition can be given to the top 10 percent of each high school’s graduating class. Carver Award certificates may be presented at an appropriate venue as determined by each school.

The certificate is available as a fillable PDF that schools can print as needed. In Adobe Acrobat, go to Forms>Highlight Fields to see the fillable areas. Type in the name of the student receiving the award, the date when the certificate will be presented and the name of the person from the school/district who will sign on the blank signature line. When printing the certificate, make sure the Page Scaling bar is set to None in the Print dialogue box. (The PDF document does not need to be reduced in size in order to print correctly.)

If you have questions about the Carver Award, please call 573-751-3563.
