The purpose of the Missouri's Early Childhood State Advisory Council (ECSAC) is to advise and assist collaborating agencies in carrying out the provisions of state and federal statutes pertaining to early childhood care and education initiatives under the state's supervision. The ECSAC is comprised of educators, administrators, state agency representatives, members of the General Assembly, higher education, early childhood providers, parents, and parents of young children with disabilities. Our quarterly meetings are open to the public to attend, and there is a time for public comment on every meeting's agenda.
For meeting information, please visit the Missouri Early Childhood State Advisory Council Meeting website, or contact Judy Goans at 573-522-8762 or Judy.Goans@dese.mo.gov.
We welcome and encourage comments regarding concerns or issues faced by families with young children. For example, the ECSAC providers advice and support for DESE's Office of Childhood by providing input and review of the Missouri Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan, First Steps and a host of other programs and services managed by OOC.

Please submit comments to the ECSAC with the understanding not to include any personally identifiable information regarding a child or other individual parties. While responses cannot be made to your individual comments, public comments received will be shared among ECSAC members as examples of issues concerning the early care and education community.
Feel free to pass this information along to other groups or interested parties. By working together, we can positively impact early care & education in Missouri. Thank you!
