New Directors Academy

The Office of Special Education hosts a New Directors Academy for first-and-second-year special education directors. The Academy will meet four times throughout the 2016-17 school year. It focuses on core activities that new special education directors must complete during their initial months of employment and throughout the entire school year. These activities will assist them in the management of special education practices and procedures within the LEA, while ensuring that the rights of students with disabilities and their parents are protected.

In order to provide a more comprehensive training program, New Directors Academy will be split into four (4) sessions throughout the school year. Please see the Academy Schedule below for dates in addition to July 25-26, 2017.
