Welcome! It’s been a busy semester here at the Department supporting schools in the implementation of the dyslexia screening mandate, providing professional development to LEA’s and continuing our work through the Regional Consultants.
Regional Professional Development Centers offer a variety of dyslexia related presentations and trainings. Please check http://mylearningplan.com for those events. If you live in the St. Louis area, http://edplus.org or in the Webb City region, http://southwestcenter.org Please utilize this group of passionate and knowledgeable consultants.
Additionally, Regional Consultants, including myself, are completing their training as LETRS Facilitators and in early 2019 will begin offering this training to teachers within their partner districts. LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling, 3rd Edition) is program neutral, structured content focused on language and literacy development that can be embedded within any curriculum.
For details about the LETRS program, platform and commitment, please see,
Please let me know if there’s any additional support I can provide.
