The FY13 High Need Fund (HNF) application is due November 30, 2012, for services provided during the 2011-12 school year.  The application and manual are posted on the Special Education Finance webpage at:  Applications for the FY13 year have been modified to auto fill data based on the county district code selected; however, districts must still enter student information and applicable costs.  Applications must be saved and submitted electronically via email as an attachment to  Districts will be sent a receipt confirmation.  Please keep the receipt confirmation email for your records. 

The HNF provides reimbursement for districts serving any student with a disability whose educational costs exceed three times the district's Current Expenditure per ADA amount as calculated on the FY12 Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR). 

Please note that students should NOT be claimed on both the HNF and Public Placement Fund applications.  The HNF is an OPTIONAL application.  If you have any questions, please contact Special Education Finance at (573) 751-0622 or by email at
