We have again contracted with Missouri State University (MSU), Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, through the Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic for limited free consultation services to help school districts as they meet the needs of students who have cochlear implants. Free cochlear implant educational consultation services are available to any Missouri school district serving students with cochlear implants (PK-12). Service delivery is individualized but could include information on device functioning, speech and auditory development, educational development, modes of communication, etc.
The collaborative, weekly consultation services are offered through Missouri State University (MSU) each Tuesday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Off-site consultation services (i.e., phone conferences, e-mail correspondences, web-cam communications, etc.) are available to all public school districts in the state of Missouri. School personnel and students can also come to the clinic at MSU. Parents may be included in the consultation at the discretion of the school district.
