The Office of Special Education is hosting the Missouri Integrated Model (MIM) Summer Institute "Sustaining Systems: Continuing to Implement What Works"

scheduled to be held July 11, 12, and 13, 2012, at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.  This year's institute is featuring a number of nationally and internationally recognized speakers including Dr. Daniel Kim, Dr. Brian McNulty, Dr. Tim Lewis, and Amelia VanName Larsen.  In addition, a team of educators from the Tigard-Tualatin School District in Tigard, Oregon will be presenting on how their district has been able to build and maintain a high quality system of effective student academic and behavioral support for over a decade.  Tigard-Tualatin was one of the first districts in the United States to implement a system of Positive Behavioral Supports and continues that today at a high level.

*PLEASE NOTE: We must cap attendance at 500 registrants and will register on a first-come, first-serve basis until our limit is reached.  Schools are encouraged to register teams of staff, including at least one building administrator.  There is no cost for the Institute but attendees are responsible for their travel and lodging expenses.

Important information, guidelines, and registration procedures are posted at http://dese.mo.gov/se/ep/mimtraining.html.
