The Southwest Regional Professional Development Center is offering a free workshop on "Designing and Modifying for the Regular Education Teacher and Role of the Paraprofessional" on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  The workshop will be held at Alphapointe, 7501 Prospect, Kansas City, MO. 

This informational and demonstrative workshop will provide information for classroom teachers, special educators, and paraprofessionals and will focus on the unique aspects of educating students who have visual impairments and the role of the regular education teacher, vision teacher, and paraprofessional. 

Aundrayah Shermer, Blindness Skills Specialist, Missouri State University and Julie Ituarte, Blindness Skills Specialist, Missouri State University will be presenting.

There is no cost but you must register to attend.  NOTE: The workshop will be working through the lunch period.  You must bring a sack lunch, as no lunch will be provided.
