A "new" director is defined as a person who will be assuming the position/duties of a Director of Special Education for the first time during the 2012-2013 school year.  Districts planning to hire an individual who has never been a Director of Special Education in any Missouri school district or an individual who will be assuming such a position during the coming school year, are encouraged to reserve these dates and submit a registration to the Office of Special Education as soon as possible.
