Intended Audience: Parents and educators of children who are blind or visually impaired

The Blind Task Force of Missouri is pleased to offer parents and educators a one-day seminar focused on effective transitioning for children and youth who are visually impaired/blind.  The Summit will include a keynote speaker, break-out sessions, and a luncheon speaker.  Topics include: The Importance of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC), Exploring Low Vision Through the Use of Simulators, Transition in the Early Years, Transition and the IEP, College Readiness, Least Restrictive Environment, Technology for VI/Blind, Braille Code, Rehabilitation Services for the Blind, and Lighthouse for the Blind.   

The Summit will be held Monday, April 29, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Stoney Creek Inn and Conference Center, 2601 South Providence Road, Columbia, MO 65203.
