We have filed the revised Part C State Performance Plan (SPP) and Annual Performance Report (APR) with the U. S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).

The SPP, required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), was developed with input from stakeholders and is the document that drives our work to improve child and family outcomes.  This document, which addresses both compliance and performance, is used to evaluate each state's efforts in implementing IDEA.  The SPP includes 14 required indicators identified by OSEP, baseline data reflecting the state's efforts to implement IDEA, measurable and rigorous targets and improvement activities the state will undertake to improve compliance and practice.

The APR is a report of the state's performance on the indicators and targets established in the SPP, due February 1 of each year.  Both the SPP and APR are posted on our website at: http://dese.mo.gov/se/SPPpage.html

I encourage you to be familiar with the SPP and APR as they are the main drivers of our work.

Thank you for your continued hard work on behalf of infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families.
