This year, the Office of Special Education is inviting "new" Directors, as well as inviting back Directors who attended last year’s academy. “New” is defined as a first year (2012–2013) special education administrator or one with less than two (2) years' special education administration experience in any district. Process Coordinators may also attend the institute provided they serve as the only special education administrator in their district and they meet the definition of “new.”
There is no registration fee to attend the Academy. Districts will be responsible for all expenses incurred including all meals, lodging, mileage, parking and any miscellaneous costs.
All expenses related to lodging will be incurred by the district. Academy participants are required to make their own hotel reservations. Please make reservations as soon as you have received approval to attend.
