As you know, new guidance and instructions for mileage reimbursement for providers delivering direct services to First Steps children and families was made available on the First Steps website this past June.
This new guidance included a deadline for mileage invoices to be submitted for payment within 60 days from the date of service. This will allow us to ensure monies are in place for payments to providers and that we are in compliance with Federal Cash Management Regulations. This instruction was effective July 1, 2011 and is applicable to all mileage invoices submitted after July 1, 2011.
