Source: Pam Thomas, Coordinator, First Steps Program
Intended Audience: First Steps providers, Service Coordinators and SPOE Directors
Date: February 1, 2012
Over the past year, personnel in the Office of Special Education have been working on making updates to the First Steps Online Training Modules. The updated modules will be released to the website today. The enhancements to the modules include a new design, video segments, document uploads, web links, and a fictional story about Beth who is a new early intervention provider.
Current First Steps providers and service coordinators are strongly encouraged to review the new training modules, but are not required to do so.
The module revisions include the following:
Module 1: Orientation
Module 2: Eligibility Determination
Module 3: IFSP
Module 4: Transition
Module 5: Family Engagement
Module 6: Early Intervention Teams (New)
A special thank you to Rebecca McCathren, Tina Lawson, Heather Crosby and e-Learning staff for their work developing and reviewing the content for the training modules. The revised modules can be found at: http://dese.mo.gov/se/fs/moduletraining.html
