Subject:  Updating Your Provider Matrix Page

Effective February 2011, First Steps providers will be required to maintain an active account on the Provider Matrix in order to receive new authorizations for service.  The provider enrollment agreement established in 2003 requires providers to review and update their Matrix at least every 3 months.

The Matrix includes a field for the date of the last update. That field will be monitored at the CFO and failure to update will result in the posting of a notice on the provider’s Matrix page that the provider’s availability may no longer be valid.

Providers who have not updated their Matrix page within 6 months will be removed from the Matrix (e.g., “grayed off”) and no new authorizations for that provider will be permitted at the CFO. Once the provider has updated his/her Matrix page, the individual’s name will appear again and new authorizations may be generated.

If you know your User Name and Password to edit your Matrix, go to the Matrix website and click on EDIT MATRIX/LOGIN at the top of the page.


If you know your User Name and Password and need assistance updating your information, go to the Matrix website and click on HELP, then UPDATE AVAILABILITIES.

 If you do not know the User Name and Password and you need to request a new one, go to the Matrix website and click on HELP at the top of the page, then click on PROVIDER, then click on OBTAIN USER ID AND PASSWORD and follow The Wizard to complete the steps.
