In June 2010 the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education assured the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) we would revise our policies regarding transition from Part C to Part B services to indicate that at the discretion of all parties, it is acceptable to hold a transition meeting up to three months prior to the time the child is 2 ½ years old.
The guidance document for IFSP Meetings has been revised on Page 7 to include this language regarding transition.
