Developmental Assessment of Young Children (DAYC) Training
In 2007 Missouri identified a need to distinguish between screening, evaluation and assessment procedures conducted within First Steps, Missouri’s early intervention program. Furthermore, there was also a need for statewide consistency in the utilization of a standardized evaluation tool, reporting results and determining eligibility for Missouri First Steps. Missouri identified the Developmental Assessment of Young Children (DAYC) as a uniform instrument to determine eligibility. The following documents have been developed to assist in the training of service coordinators and providers throughout the state.
