Success in Missouri Schools

The Division of Special Education supports regional experts in the field of Special Education.  These professionals, housed in local Regional Professional Development Centers (RPDC), work directly with district personnel to improve the performance of students.  There are Improvement Consultants whose activities include assisting with Improvement Plan design and implementation; Regional Technical Assistant Coaches (RTACs) whose activities include continuing professional development technical assistance; Compliance Consultants are primarily responsible for helping districts meet regulation requirements, and School-Wide Positive Behavior Supports (SW-PBS) Consultants offer assistance to schools developing the systems, data, and practices necessary to implement SW-PBS.  The following links lead to just a few success stories, authored by the Regional Special Education Consultant describing progress in Missouri schools.
