Subject: Blind/VI/Braille Curriculum/Tips and Techniques for Teaching Braille Workshop

On October 29, 2010, there will be a workshop conducted by Jan DeHart, Blind Skills Specialist, that focuses on the scope and sequence of the braille literacy curriculum from pre-school through high school. Assessments, teaching strategies, and assistive technology will also be discussed at the workshop. You will learn tips and techniques for games and activities to enhance braille learning. Lunch and parking passes will be provided to the participants. The workshop will be held at the University of Missouri-Columbia Campus, Room #7 London Hall, Columbia, MO from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $75.00 - 6 hours of Professional Development.
