Subject: Special Education District Profiles

The Special Education District Profiles containing 2005-06 data are now
available on the DESE Web Application. The profile has been revised so that
it can be used as the public report of district performance required by IDEA
2004. These profiles will be posted on DESE's public website in
mid-November, therefore, it is essential that districts review the data and
make any necessary corrections immediately. If corrections are made to data
reported in Core Data, please make sure that there are no EDIT buttons,
which indicate that there are errors on the screen. Corrections must be made
by November 1, 2006.
To access the district profile, log on to
https://k12apps.dese.mo.gov/webapps/logon.asp. At the Applications Menu,
under Special Education, choose "Special Education Profile." Then click on
"View Profile Report."
As this is the first time the Special Education Profile will be available on
DESE's public website, any suggestions you have for improving the report so
it is more readable, understandable, and usable by the public would be
appreciated.
