FOR YOUR INFORMATION
The Office of Special Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, is proposing changes to the state regulations implementing Part C (birth to three years) of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The proposed changes are available for inspection in the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Office of Special Education, Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, 205 Jefferson, Jefferson City, MO 65102 during regular office hours. The proposed changes are also available on the Office of Special Education website at: http://dese.mo.gov/divspeced/stateplan/index.html.
Two (2) public hearings will be conducted on the proposed changes during the month of October 2010. The dates, times, and locations for the public hearings follow, and are on the Office of Special Education website http://dese.mo.gov/divspeced/FirstSteps/, or can be obtained by calling the Office of Special Education Compliance at 573-751-0699.
