Intended Audience: Classroom Teachers, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, and others interested in the education of children who are blind or visually impaired

The Teachers of the Visually Impaired Conference will be held October 22, 2008, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the University of Missouri, Columbia, #2 London Hall.  Presentations will be made by Blindness Skills Specialists, Anthony Blades and Janice DeHart.  In addition, Yvonne Ali, Missouri School for the Blind, will present and demonstrate all of the new materials from the American Printing House.  Elaine Houtman and David Baker, Missouri Assistive Technology, will provide an update on NIMAS/NIMAC and information on training to download materials and Braille translation software.  Snack, lunch, and parking provided.  For more information, go to http://www.heartofmissourirpdc.org/ and follow the link for workshop registration or call Jan DeHart at 573-882-6156.
