School-Age Students with Disabilities

Two changes have been made to the school-age placements codes for the
2006-2007 school year.
The "Parentally-Placed Private School Children Served Outside..." codes
(codes 2100, 2201, and 2301) have been collapsed into one code
2100-Parentally-Placed Private School Children. Report any child with a
disability who is parentally-placed in a private school but receiving
special education or related services in this category.
A new placement category has been added - 1801-Correctional Facility.
Districts will report any student who is receiving services from the
district and is in a local jail, detention center, or correctional facility
on December 1 in this category. Districts should not report students in
Department of Corrections or Division of Youth Services facilities as these
students will be reported by DOC or DYS.
