Project Forum at the National Association for State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE) in collaboration with the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) would like to invite you and other interested parties to participate in a virtual forum on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) that begins with a webinar on October 6 and will continue for approximately four weeks with written conversations on the web site.
The focus of this opportunity will be to identify policy barriers to the implementation of UDL. These conversations will be used as a foundation to later develop policy recommendations and action plans to support the implementation of UDL. This Virtual Forum is open to any interested party. Registration information will be available at http://www.projectforum.org in late September.
UDL Common Definition: Universal design for learning (UDL) is the proactive design of curricula (including learning goals, instructional methods and materials and assessments) that are accessible and useable by all students with little or no need for additional accommodations and are compatible with available assistive technology.
