The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Expenditure Report (ER) for the 2007-08 school year is due September 17, 2008, along with a copy of the 2007-08 and 2008-09 lease agreements. All 2008-09 ECSE lease and facility acquisition/cost documentation will be reviewed based on the new capital funding formula described in the SELS message dated 08-20-08 located at: http://www.dese.mo.gov/divspeced/LS08.20.08-3.htm.
The ECSE Training Guide, ECSE Core Data Personnel Detail Worksheet, and ECSE Object & ASBR Codes are posted on the Funds Management website at:
http://dese.mo.gov/divspeced/Finance/ecseindex.html.
Please note the following:
If updates are needed on Core Data Screens 18 and 20 for 2007-08, make them directly in the appropriate Core Data screens. Beginning with 2008-09, the educator data will need to be submitted and updated through the MOSIS submission system.
If an error is generated in the application on the Core Data Personnel Detail page regarding certification, please double check the individual's certifications. This error may be generated by a system communication error. If the individual's certification data appears to be in order, the district may by-pass the warning.
All ECSE expenditures must be coded in the Annual Secretary of the Board Report (ASBR) under 2559 (ECSE Transportation) or 1280 (All Other ECSE Expenditures).
