The Division of Special Education District Exit Reports for the 2004-2005 school year are now available on the DESE Web Application.  To access your exit report, log on to https://k12apps.dese.mo.gov/webapps/logon.asp.  At the Applications Menu under Special Education, choose "Special Education Profile” then click on “View Exit Report.”

Exit Reports are available to assist districts with verifying data entered on Screen 12 for school year 2004-2005.  Exit data are collected for the entire school year (July 1–June 30) but should only reflect students counted on your district’s child count.  On the exiting report, the age and disability category reported on Screen 12 should match the age and disability category reported on Screen 11.  One exception to this requirement is if a student was age 16 on December 1, turned 17 after that then graduated from high school.  The Core Data system will not allow entry of a 16 year old graduate; therefore, the student should be coded as age 17. Students exiting during the 2004-2005 school year can be divided into two groups for reporting purposes:

1) Students exiting between July 1, 2004, and November 30, 2004, should be reported on Screen 12 if they were included on December 1, 2003, child count.

2) Students exiting between December 1, 2004, and June 30, 2005, should be reported on screen 12 if they were included on the December 1, 2004, child count.

Review your report carefully.  Exit reports contain exit data reported by your district that is used for special education monitoring, for focused improvement review to identify poorest performing districts, and for public reporting of data per IDEA 2004 via the State Performance Plan.  Yellow shaded fields indicate areas of possible discrepancy.  Please make corrections as soon as possible so the data will be correct on your Special Education District Profile.
