The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Transition Coalition are pleased to announce scholarships for the Transition Seminar Series to support 30 special educators, administrators, transition coordinators, or VR counselors working in public high schools with transition-aged youth (ages 16-21).
This series of five online transition seminars is designed to provide novice and veteran education professionals the tools and collaboration necessary to improve transition planning and services for students with disabilities. Each seminar includes four week-long sessions with research-based articles, websites, videos, and discussions.
Introduction to Transition Education and Services, September 20-October 14, 2010
Transition Assessment, October 15-November 19, 2010 Family Involvement and Student Involvement in Transition, January 10, 2010-February 4, 2011 Preparing Students for Employment/Postsecondary Education, February 14-March 11, 2011 Interagency Collaboration during Transition Planning, March 28-April 22, 2011

Application Due Date: September 10, 2010. Individuals will be notified by September 14, 2010, regardless of acceptance.
