FOR YOUR INFORMATION
The Special School District of St. Louis County (SSD) has made available some special education documents translated into languages other than English for use by their staff and patrons. These documents include the Parent's Guide to Special Education in Missouri, basic information on special education, and information on the evaluation and IEP processes. SSD has generously offered to share these materials free of charge with other school districts. The translations are located at: https://iwiki.ssdmo.org/groups/parentprogram/ click on "Translated Materials" towards the bottom of the web page.
Please note that the Department has not verified the quality level of these translations. All translations were done by Language Access Metro Project (LAMP) which is a not-for-profit organization. Additional information about the organization can be found at http://www.lampinterpreters.org/.
If any other public agencies in the state have foreign language translations to share, please send them to me and we will disseminate them through our website.
