Subject: DESE Web Applications Technical Issue

The Department has discovered a very serious technical issue related to DESE Web Applications and all of the programs/applications that operate within this system. If a district opens multiple programs/applications in different browser sessions, data is populating from one session to another without any action required of the district. This data swap can happen from program to program (i.e., Title to Special Education), year to year, or even school to school. If you notice odd numbers in any of your programs/applications, it is likely that this technical issue has occurred. Unfortunately, you will have to re-enter all of the original data to correct as that data can't be retrieved.
We ask that the district only open one browser session at a time until this issue can be resolved. Be sure to close that session before pulling up any other programs and/or applications. This is extremely important when comparing a past year to the current year.
