Subject: Part B Final Expenditure Report Deadline Extended to July 30 **URGENT**

IDEA/ARRA Part B Final Expenditure Report (FER):  The Part B Final Expenditure Report (FER) is taking longer than anticipated to fix errors and make available to districts.  At this time, the FER for Part B Funds is expected to be available for entry in a couple of weeks.  The estimated FER will be due to DESE July 30.

Revised FERs (if applicable) will be due August 30.

IDEA/ARRA Part B June Payment:

Since the Part B FER cannot be completed and submitted, the Division is allowing districts to submit a final EPEGS payment request for the remaining Part B funds that have been expended or will be expended by June 23.  Districts must have the payment request submitted by June 8 to receive their FY10 Part B funds in this fiscal year.  This means districts do not have to wait to submit their FER to claim these funds.

We are sorry for any inconvenience, but wanted districts to be able to access their remaining Part B funds without having the stress of submitting an FER within a limited amount of time.  Please call the Funds Management Section with questions at (573) 751-0622.
