Registration is now open for the DESE Transition Institute, July 13-15, 2009, at the Ramada Oasis and Convention Center and Inn, Springfield, MO. The Transition Institute is designed to present a wide range of transition topics including self-determination, interagency collaboration, building vocational rehabilitation partnerships, and the opportunity to plan as a district team. It is preferred that districts send a team of four including a general education teacher, a special education teacher, an administrator, and counselor.
The registration fee for attending this event is $25 per person. This fee is due at time of registration on July 13 in the form of cash or a check made payable to: Treasurer, State of Missouri. Purchase Orders and advance payment will not be accepted. Registrants will be responsible for their lodging costs and all other expenses except for meals provided at the conference. Breakfast will be served on July 14 and 15 as well as lunch on July 14. Participants shall make their own lodging reservations. A block of rooms will be held for this event until July 1 at the Ramada Oasis and Convention Center, 2546 N.
