Subject: Payment Summary for the High Need
Fund

Districts who submitted a High Need Fund Pro Rata application prior to March
1, 2006, will receive a partial payment of approximately 23% in the May
school payment designated under "High Need Fund" revenue code 5381. Letters
are being mailed to applying districts detailing payment information. The
payment table for this fund may be viewed at
http://www.dese.mo.gov/divspeced/Finance/HighNeedIndex.html.
Districts who did not apply for the High Need Fund prior to March 1, 2006,
will have another opportunity to apply in December.
The remaining FY06 costs for students who qualify for this fund will be paid
after the district submits a final application with actual costs for these
students. The final application will be posted on the Division's website in
July. The anticipated due date for the final application will be in December
2006 (FY07).

further information on the High Need Fund.
