The KAT Program is again accepting applications as of May 1, 2006, for funding assistance for purchases of assistive technology for children, birth through age 20. The KAT program is applied for by parents of children with disabilities. The program does not provide grants to schools. KAT is administered by Missouri Assistive Technology.

Examples of assistive technology considered through the KAT program include communication devices, adapted computer equipment, switches and mounts, hearing aids and devices, vision and Braille devices, mobility aids, vehicle access modifications, and some home access modifications.
This is only a partial listing of assistive technology eligible through the KAT program.

Grants will be considered and prioritized based on the assistive technology needs of the child, and lower income families will receive priority.
