The Division of Special Education has funding available to assist districts in forming NEW special education cooperatives.  The purpose of a co-op agreement is to provide a variety of special education services, especially therapies and consultative services that are limited in the serving area.  Applications for all K-12 special education co-ops will be considered, however, preference will be given to districts forming a Deaf/Hard of Hearing and/or Blind/Visually Impaired cooperative.

Services are not limited to a self-contained setting, but may also include itinerant staff who travel among member districts to provide consultation, instruction, and/or therapy. 

Applications are due by June 30, 2010.
