The Division of Special Education, through Project Access, Missouri State University, will provide scholarships for selected education professionals to participate in the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) Thompson Center Summer Institute 2009 Comprehensive Teacher Trainings.
The 2009 Summer Institute trainings include the first two tiers of a three-tiered extensive training sequence for education professionals who work with individuals with autism spectrum disorders. The Tier 1 training offered from July 27 to July 31, 2009, provides professionals with an overview of necessary core knowledge of autism spectrum disorders. The Tier 2 training offered from August 3 to August 7, 2009, provides professionals with expanded knowledge of distinct skill domains that are important for the long-term functioning of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
