We have contracted with Missouri State University (MSU), Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, through the Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic for limited free consultation services to help school districts as they meet the needs of students who have cochlear implants.
Free cochlear implant educational consultation services are available to school district personnel serving students with cochlear implants (PK-12). The collaborative, weekly consultation services are offered through Missouri State University each Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Service delivery is individualized. Off-site consultation services (i.e., phone conferences, e-mail correspondences, web-cam communications, etc.) are available to all public school districts in the state of Missouri. Additionally, on-site services are available to school districts within a 250 mile radius of MSU.
For initial contact about the services, please contact: Jill Oswalt at Jilloswalt@missouristate.edu. If you already had initial contact, you may continue to contact Karen Engler at Karenengler@missouristate.edu.
